Step on a scale two mornings in a row and it can swing a couple of pounds on water alone. That noise is why the scale feels like a liar — and why our new Weight Tracker leads with the trend, the honest line underneath the daily jitter.
The trend is the truth
Every reading still goes in, but the headline number is a time-aware moving average: it weights recent weigh-ins more, smooths out the water and salt and yesterday's dinner, and shows the direction you're actually heading. Whether you weigh daily or once a week, the line reads the same way. A single wild reading — someone else on the scale, a pounds/kilograms mix-up — is flagged as suspicious and kept out of the line automatically (never deleted; you can always review it).
It tells you the story — no AI needed
Pick a time frame and the tracker writes the story of it in plain words: "Fell 19 lb from January to October, then climbed 17 lb into 2024, then fell 28 lb since spring." Long journeys wander up and down, and the app narrates those turns month by month — all computed on your device, no AI, no server, nothing uploaded.
Progress you can feel
Losing weight is slow, quiet work, so we borrowed a trick from our arcade: a four-tier celebration ladder. A quiet sparkle for showing up, a pop of confetti for a new best, a banner and a spread of stars for every 10 lb milestone — and, kept rare so it stays earned, full fireworks for reaching your goal. It follows the goal you set — lose, maintain, or gain — and it will never cheer weight loss below a healthy weight.
Bring your history — and never lose it
Import straight from a Renpho CSV, an Apple Health export, or Google Fit — and because it reads the aggregators, a Xiaomi scale (or whatever you switch to next) works too. Imports only ever add new dates; they never overwrite what's there, and one tap undoes an import if you grab the wrong file. On iPhone, a free Shortcut can log your weight automatically every morning. Got a family? Add a profile per person. And because it all lives in your browser, a one-tap backup is yours to keep.
