Terms of Use & Disclaimer
In plain English: SpecEnvoy is a free collection of educational tools, games and articles. Everything here is for general learning and interest only — it is not professional advice (medical, health, safety, legal, financial or otherwise). It's provided "as is," with no warranty, and we're not liable for what happens if you rely on it. For anything that matters — your health, an emergency, a real decision — please talk to a qualified professional. By using the site you accept these terms.
Language. These terms are published in English and, for convenience, in Chinese. The English version is the sole official and legally binding version. The translation is provided only to help understanding; in the event of any inconsistency, ambiguity or dispute, the English version prevails.
1. Educational and informational only
All content on specenvoy.com — including interactive tools, simulations, games, data visualisations, and articles covering topics such as health, anatomy, first aid, nutrition, science, maths, music and economics — is provided for general education and interest only. It is not professional advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with an appropriately qualified professional. Many tools are deliberately simplified for teaching and are not comprehensive or authoritative.
2. Not medical, health or emergency advice
Health-related content (including but not limited to first aid, CPR, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, metabolism, genetics and disease information) is provided for learning only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional first-aid training, medical care, or emergency services.
- In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
- Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional about your health or any medical condition.
- First-aid and CPR skills can only be learned properly through certified, hands-on training (e.g., the Red Cross, American Heart Association, St John Ambulance, or your local provider). Our content follows recognised public guidance but may not reflect the latest revisions.
- Never disregard, delay or discontinue professional advice or care because of something you read or used here.
3. No warranty ("as is")
The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including (without limitation) any implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, current, complete or error-free, or that the site will be uninterrupted or secure.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SpecEnvoy, its owner, and anyone involved in creating or operating the site will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind — including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or any loss of life, personal injury, health outcomes, data, profits or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, reliance on, or inability to use the site or its content, or any decision made or action taken based on it. This applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the site. [For legal review: where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, this section should be read as limiting liability to the maximum extent permitted, and any mandatory statutory rights are unaffected. Jurisdiction-specific caps/carve-outs to be set — see §10.]
5. Your responsibility & assumption of risk
You use the site, and act on any information from it, entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and actions, for evaluating the accuracy and suitability of any content, and for obtaining appropriate professional advice before acting. This is especially important for any health, safety or emergency situation.
6. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites and resources (for example, the Red Cross or American Heart Association). We provide these for convenience and education. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and a link does not imply any affiliation, partnership or endorsement in either direction.
7. Your data & privacy
Most SpecEnvoy tools run entirely in your browser and store any data you create locally on your device; we generally do not collect or receive that data. We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand overall traffic. We are not responsible for data you store locally (for example, if you clear your browser or lose your device).
8. Intellectual property & acceptable use
The site's software, design and original content are owned by SpecEnvoy unless stated otherwise. Some resources are offered under their own separate licences (see our licensing notices where provided) — where a specific licence applies to a resource, that licence governs it. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and your continued use of the site means you accept the current terms. Please check back occasionally.
10. Geographic scope
The site is operated from the owner's jurisdiction (see §11) and provided for general educational use worldwide. It is not specifically directed at, or tailored to, the residents, language or laws of any particular country. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you are located, and if accessing or using the site is not lawful or appropriate in your location, you must not use it. We make no representation that the content is appropriate or available for use in any particular place, and we may limit, restrict or withdraw availability of the site — in whole or in part, including in specific locations — at any time and at our discretion.
11. Governing law
[For legal review: insert the governing law and jurisdiction for the site owner's location, and any consumer-law carve-outs required there — including whether mandatory consumer protections of a user's home country override this choice.] These terms are governed by that law, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, to the extent permitted. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the place where you live that cannot lawfully be excluded.
