Introducing SpecEnvoy Edu: learning that clicks

We mostly build privacy-first tools for grown-ups. Today we're starting something for the youngest people in our lives — small, free tools that help kids and teens understand, not just memorise.
We're at the very beginning of this, and we're excited about it. Maths and the basics matter enormously, and we think the right little tool — something you can poke, drag and play with — can turn "I have to learn this" into "oh, that's how it works." So we've started SpecEnvoy Edu, and we'll keep adding to it.
Why bother — aren't there a hundred of these already?
Plenty of sites drill kids with flashcards and rack up points. Fewer try to make an idea visible. Our aim is both: solid practice and the "aha." And because it's part of SpecEnvoy, it shares our values — it's free, it works on any phone with nothing to install, it's bilingual (English and 中文), and it doesn't track your child or collect data. Open a page and it just works.
What's there today
Two things to start, both live now:
- The Arithmetic Trainer — learn your times tables by heart, then test yourself. It covers ×, +, −, ÷, plus squares and powers of two, with a learn table, flashcards, single-number drills, an everything-mixed mode, and quizzes that reward real recall. There's also a short companion guide, how to tell if a number divides by 2, 3 or 5 — including why the trick for 3 actually works.
- The Trigonometry Playground — for teens meeting sin, cos and tan. Drag an angle around a circle and watch the ratios change, see how that spinning point draws a sine wave, and reshape triangles to feel the sine and cosine rules (the cosine rule even turns into Pythagoras in front of you at 90°). It's built to be genuinely fun to fiddle with.
Where this is going
This is a foundation, not the finished thing. We'll add more — and go deeper. Expect more arithmetic and geometry, then bigger ideas explained the same visual, hands-on way: things like the Fourier transform (how any sound or signal is built from simple waves — a natural sequel to the sine-wave demo). We're also weighing tools beyond maths, such as help for English writing. We'll build comprehensive material as we go, one solid piece at a time.
