What Naomi learned, and who owns what
This page is the demo's provenance and attribution record. It exists from day one on purpose: a guide that speaks about a church should say plainly where every word came from.
What was crawled
Source: the public pages of www.bayviewglen.org — 43 pages, discovered through the site's own sitemap, fetched politely (identified crawler, delayed requests, robots.txt disallows honoured) on 18 July 2026.
What was kept: page titles, addresses (URLs), and short factual summaries — enough to route a question to the right page. No page content is copied or rehosted here. Every card Naomi shows opens the church's real site in a new tab.
What Naomi can say
- Only approved, pre-written lines — there is no AI text generation anywhere in this demo. Nothing is improvised, nothing invented.
- Every factual claim in her lines (service times, address, program details) was checked verbatim against the page of bayviewglen.org it came from, and an automated check re-verifies those facts against the live site so the demo cannot silently drift from the church's own words.
- On questions of belief she points to the church's own About page. Bayview Glen is a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Canada and aligns with the C&MA statement of faith — Naomi links; she does not paraphrase doctrine.
- If someone types something heavy — crisis, grief, disclosure — Naomi sets the tour-guide role aside and responds with the engine's built-in, human-reviewed care layer (real help lines, gentle language), alongside the church's own Care & Prayer page.
Who owns what
The church's content is the church's. All titles, summaries, program names, photos and words on bayviewglen.org belong to Bayview Glen Church. This demo holds only facts and links, was built from public pages only, and will be taken down on request (specenvoy+guide@gmail.com).
The engine and the portrait are SpecEnvoy's. The guide engine (SpecEnvoy Guide), Naomi's name-as-product, and her hand-built procedural portrait are © SpecEnvoy. In a real installation they are licensed to the church; the church's own data pack stays the church's.
No third-party assets. The portrait is procedural SVG drawn in code; no stock art, fonts, or external services are loaded by this page or the widget.
Third-party services the church itself uses
Some of the church's pages link to services it runs elsewhere — YouTube (livestream and sermons), Church Center (registrations and giving), online.church, and the Kaleo translation app. Naomi routes to the church's pages that describe them; this demo embeds none of those services.

For Scripture questions Naomi points to Ruth, SpecEnvoy's free Bible-discovery companion. Ruth searches only public-domain and openly-licensed texts, with her own sources & licenses page.
